We won’t spoil the surprise and tell you how Steph went – you’ll have to watch it for yourself! 😊
It’s been a big year for Steph – not only was she a RAW Comedy finalist but she also premiered her solo comedy shows ‘Female Musical Comedian’ at this year’s Sydney Fringe Festival, where her show was nominated – and then shortlisted – for best comedy show at the festival. In the last two years, Steph has twice broken the record for the number of performances in a year by a Sydney comedian.
RAW Comedy is an Australian annual stand-up comedy competition. It is organised and hosted by the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. The competition has been running since 2019. After performing in local heats, comedians go through a judging process to hopefully progress to the state finals. From the state finals, winners progress to the national grand final, which is held at the Melbourne Town Hall during the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
Previous winners of RAW Comedy include Adam Spencer, Subby Valentine, Chris Franklin, Chris Wainhouse, Emily O’Loughlin, Nick Sun, Josh Thomas, Hannah Gadsby, Cassie Workman, Luke Heggie, Dane Rathbone, Demi Lardner. Previous national finalists of the competition include Lawrence Mooney, Adam Richard, Lawrence Leung, Alan Rutledge,
Geraldine Hickey, Celia Pacquola, Bart Freebairn, Tom Ballard, Mel Buttle, Ryan Coffey, Rhys Nicholson, Ronny Chieng, Anne Edmonds and Sam Campbell.
We hope you enjoy watching the Steph Broadbridge RAW Comedy Grand Final performance in this televised show on Sunday!
