Standup comedian, promoter and actor Dane Hiser has been a fan of live comedy all his life, has a keen sense of ‘the funny’ and also happens to be one of the most awkward, uncoordinated and socially inept human beings ever to stumble out of the womb.  Combine all of that, and what do you get? Comedy gold, that’s what!  Dane is a regular at comedy rooms across Sydney as well as in Newcastle and Wollongong, and has won and placed in several comedy competitions.

Dane performed in Matt Okine’s comedy series ‘The Other Guy’ on Stan, popped up in shows like ‘The Moodys’, appeared in web series like ‘The Joke’s On Me’, and has featured in ads for Ryobi, Nissan X Trail, PayPal and more.

Dane’s unique twist on self-deprecating humour has been known to often “bring the house down”, and has been praised by some of Australia’s top comics, including Fiona O’Loughlin, Tommy Dean, Cam Knight, Mikey Robins, Sam Bowring, Dave Williams and Peter Helliar.

Dane performed sold out solo shows during a four-show run at The Sydney Fringe Festival 2012. The show was well received by critics and audiences and then went on to have successful runs in the Adelaide Fringe Festival 2013 and Sydney Comedy Festival in 2013 and 2015.

Dane was the creator, booker, producer and promoter of ‘The Laugh Stand’ at FBi Social in Kings Cross Hotel, and the iconic Harold Park Hotel, Glebe.

He has worked with, inspired and bonded with many comedy luminaries, including the Doug Anthony Allstars.
