2018 has been a huge year for the group of comedians we work with! As we farewell 2018, here’s a review of just some of what we have done – individually and collectively this year…
New Comedians Joined Our Line-Up in 2018
Four very funny people performed their first show (and more) with us in 2018. We were so pleased to welcome these comedians onto our roster!

These Amazing Comedians Did Some Awesome Things!
In no particular order, we are pleased to present….
- Stephanie Broadbridge performed an unbelievable 371 gigs this year!

- Lizzy Hoo accepted an invitation to perform at the Just for Laughs Festival in Sydney!
- Frida Deguise and Sallie Don had a successful run of their show The Blonde & The Bombshell at Melbourne Comedy Festival – and collected a four star review!
- Claudia Rae, JT and Lizzy Hoo performed their first split show Ferris Wheel Club with a successful run over three nights at Sydney Fringe Festival.
- Thao Thanh Cao performed a month-long run of her solo show ‘Appropriately Inappropriate’ at Edinburgh Fringe.

- Te Rina Taite performed at Edinburgh Fringe and at a show in London.
- .Peter Green earned a comedy writing gig with Game of Games.

- Christina Van Look performed in an array of New York professional shows at The Greenwich Village Comedy Club, The Niagara Bar, Drexlers, the Cherry Tavern and Freddy’s Bar in Brooklyn
- Christina Van Look, Peter Green and Peter Meisel had a sold out Sydney Comedy Festival Show: The Funniest Comedians You’ve Never Heard of

- Peter Green headlined a successful show – with Christina Van Look and Peter Meisel performing – in Wollongong
- Peter Meisel and Christina Van Look performed in fundraising shows throughout the year that raised over $1M for charities and organisations.
- Suren Jayemanne had his comedy special released on ABC TV and iview, and appeared on Tonightly with Tom Ballard.

We Performed Lots of Shows
We performed 48 ’10 Comedians’ Shows this year – more than double the number we performed last year. We keep growing every year!
We Had Our Largest Audiences
We had several shows performing to almost 200 people.
More Sold Out Shows
Like last year, about half our shows for the year were completely sold out.
We Had Our Best Ever Sydney Fringe Festival in September!
- In September, we participated in our fourth consecutive Sydney Fringe Festival.
- We performed a record number of 10 Comedians shows – sixteen shows!
- We had a record number of sold out shows during Sydney Fringe – eleven shows!
- In a Sydney Fringe first, we performed two shows on a Sydney Harbour Cruise with The Rhythmboat.
- The organiser of 10 Comedians, Sean Morahan, won the Sydney Fringe Spirit of The Fringe Award
We Performed our 50th Show at The Bat & Ball Hotel
We’ve been performing at The Bat & Ball Hotel since early 2016 and our shows there have become more and more frequent.
We performed 27 shows there this year and notched up our 50th show with this great venue!
We Celebrated Our Third Birthday
Some of our comedians met up at Penrith Gaels for a birthday party to mark the occasion!
Our Facebook Following of ’10 Comedians’ Grew
During the year, we ticked over 600, then 700, then 800 followers on our 10 Comedians Facebook page.
First Club Lithgow Show in November
In November we had our first performance at Club Lithgow. It was a fabulous audience and a great night of fun. We are so much looking forward to more shows here in 2019!
We Made Lots of New Friends
Audience members, promoters, venue managers and of course, comedians …we made LOTS of friends in 2018.
